Outstanding product

I've been using this carbon fiber PLA for quite some time and have had nothing but great success with it. Running on a Prusa Mini with an E3D hardened steel nozzle both in 0.40mm and 0.25mm the results are perfect. The carbon fiber filament has an appearance that almost entirely hides layer lines.

Filament diameter across the entire roll is very uniform, and is perfectly wound onto the spool.

Carbon Fiber Filament

Outstanding filament, i have printed multiple items with this filament all with amazing strength properties and a finish that impresses everybody that sees it.
Call into the X3D shop to have a look at the OK Hand in the display cabinet to see the finished look.
It wouldn't be the easiest filament to print with as it's quite abrasive so a all metal hot end is a must but if you are semi proficient with your skills then it should not be a difficult task.

Testing review

Im really happy with this filament and have been doing some destructive testing to assess its strength. I have had to increase both the bed and hotend temp above recommended settings to ensure there is no layer separation but overall the results are quite good. I have found that shock absorption is not as great as the standard XD Pro PLA when laid down in linear fashion but with appropriate cross layering the parts are quite strong in comparison to the Pro PLA.
