When your print starts looking like the Tower of Pisa without intending it to, it could be that one of the parts has come loose or a belt is meeting resistance.
Solutions:
Keep an eye out for any inconsistency with the print head movement or loose parts.
- Check if the belt is moving smoothly: Make sure that nothing is rubbing against the belts. Align them correctly.
- Adjust the tightness of the coupler’s grub screw: Inspect the X- and Y-axis to find out which one needs tightening. With the use of an Allen key, tighten the corresponding stepper motor coupler’s grub screw.
- Tighten the rod pulleys: Some 3D printers have more belts and pulleys than others. If there’s an axis that is not moving correctly, tighten the grub screws of each rod pulley of the affected axis.
